We know that local people care deeply about the way their local environment looks. Our vision is for a cleaner, greener England respected and enjoyed by all. We campaign against litter and neglect, and for better cared for and more attractive places. We help by providing knowledge, advice and support. We lead by inspiring policy and practical action.

The Keep Britain Tidy Network is one of the longest running local environmental quality programme and environmental awards schemes in the UK. Its principal aim is to assist local authorities and other land managers to improve performance in local environmental quality by providing expertise, advice, support, opportunities for up-skilling, networking events and partnership working.

Since the programme was launched 21 years ago, local authorities from across England have demonstrated their ability to innovate within service delivery, actively demonstrating new ideas and examples of best practice, which continuously improve the level of service they provide.

An important part of the conference is the presentation of the annual Network Awards, which not only recognise and promote individual achievement, but also provide an invaluable opportunity for information to be shared with other authorities and bodies that recognise the hard work and dedication involved in delivering continuous improvement.

This year we are looking forward to working in partnership with Bournemouth City Council, who will showcase their innovative work and effective use of resources and service delivery to help make this our most successful conference to date.
