The 2010 conference “Better Places in Challenging Times” took place in Manchester on 15th & 16th March.

Keep Britain Tidy brought together a number of keynote speakers who looked at the future of local environmental quality.

They looked at why in these demanding economic times it is imperative to keep the profile of Local Environmental Quality high whilst maintaining efficiencies

Past successes and case studies were showcased as well as looking at the continual development of the LEQ agenda - setting new targets and challenges for the future.

Themes and topics of the conference included: Community Engagement; Partnership Working; Consistency in Enforcement; Environmental Crime in the Magistrates Court; Efficiencies & Procurement; and the opportunity to look at the keep Britain Tidy Manifesto for a Cleaner England.
